While still in college, he started making sad videos and publishing them on social media. What started with zero followers has grown to a huge follower base comprising millions of followers.
Junaid is a loved face among the youth and his popularity has grown many folds over the years. He wasn’t a part of a model hunt, nor did he have a backing in the industry to get him a coveted modeling break. He always wanted good exposure and the right platform and social media gave him the propulsion. Junaid started his career with musical.ly. He had barely 25000 followers when musical.ly merged into TikTok. The progress was slow but Junaid was self-motivated. Also, feedback from the few followers meant a lot to him. He kept working hard and reached about 9 million followers on TikTok. This young TikTok sensation from India has not looked back ever since.
He had his share of troubles and bottlenecks on the way, but he got up with added rigor every time difficulties pulled him down. Right from receiving negative comments from friends and relatives to self-doubt, he has grappled with it all. Junaid was scaling great heights when TikTok was banned in India. That seemed like a dead-end but Junaid braced himself and continued posting videos on Instagram. He also started posting his videos on the Moj application and later became the first influencer to reach 1 million followers on Moj. His popularity kept increasing and now he enjoys a follower base of 6.5 million followers on Moj and 815k on Instagram.
Malik feels lucky to have collaborated with celebrities like Tulsi Kumar, Chris Gayle, Aditya Narayan, and other stars for videos. He has also been a part of multiple branding and modeling contracts with big brands like Porsche, Daniel Wellington, Mamaearth, Lulu hypermarket, Olx, Mi, Amazon, Myntra, etc. Now that he will be appearing in a lead acting role in a web series, he feels immensely grateful to God and his fans for showering all the love.
