Ashi Singh, who portrayed Yasmine in Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hi Hoga, had discussed the types of roles she likes to play. While discussing her post-show ambitions, the actress went on to say that she isn’t comfortable doing roles that are older than her, but she isn’t opposed to portraying negative characters on screen.
Ashi in an exclusive interview with SPOTBOYE discussed her concerns about portraying a character who is older in age, “As an actor, I would not like to play a character which is older than my age because I believe whatever character I play, it ultimately starts reflecting in me. I start behaving like the character after some point in time as my thinking is in line with my character’s thought process. So If I play an older character for a long time it will eventually start reflecting in me. Hence I am not comfortable playing a character which is not of my age”, she told the media.
Despite the fact that the young actress isn’t opposed to playing a negative role that contrasts with her own characteristics. But she told the reporter that Now is the time for her to play a villain. People describe her face as pure, pleasant, and straightforward. So she is particularly interested in seeing if she can portray a negative role convincingly. Nobody approaches her with such roles. As a result, she said she would like to try a negative role to see whether she can pull it off
