My character of Anu Chandra doesn't have a voice of her own - Kirti Kulhari on Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors

Kirti Kulhari is one of the most talented and gorgeous actresses of the Hindi entertainment industry and the last few years have been phenomenal for the actress. Movies like Mission Mangal, Pink, Indu Sarkar and Uri: The Surgical Strike has given Kirti’s career the much-needed boost and one similarity in all her characters in such movies is the fact that they were all strong and empowered women. However in the case of her portrayal as Anu Chandra in ‘Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors, the situation is slightly different. When asked more about her character, Kirti revealed the press conference and we quote,

“Well, Anu Chandra is very very difficult and different compared to what I had done earlier. This one was a lot about expressing silently and I feel that’s more difficult to do that expressing with words and actions. I learnt the ability to speak via silence here in this show. My character of Anu Chandra doesn’t have a voice of her own, unlike all my other movies I have done so far. So everything is different here.”

‘Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors’ streams on Disney + Hotstar from December 24, 2020 onwards. It is produced by Applause Entertainment.
