Young lass Alisha Singh, who was the winner of the reality show Boogie Woogie four times and a runner up in Dance India Dance, is known for her role in Dil Dostii Dance. The actress has collaborated with Glance Roposo, a short video talent platform wherein in the Roposo monsoon week with choreographer Alisha Singh through #DancewithAlisha, she will teach dance moves on Bollywood monsoon songs.
By the end of the week, she will select a few videos who will get a shoutout from her Roposo as well as Instagram handle and also get 30000 Roposo coins. We got in a candid chat with Alisha wherein she spoke about her new venture.
How will #DanceWithAlisha help budding content creators?
I am excited to create some amazing content on the Glance Roposo app throughout the current special Roposo Monsoon Week celebration from 13th July onwards as I challenge dancers, other content creators, and my audience at large to participate in the #DanceWithAlisha challenge. Users of the Roposo app can create a duet video with me using various monsoon-special filters with interesting rain effects wherein they can win and redeem 30,000 Roposo coins along with a special shoutout from me on my social media handles. I will teach users easy and fun dance steps on the fun and catchy song ‘sawan mein lag gayi aag’. The #DanceWithAlisha challenge on the Roposo app will bring budding content creators in the dance space together where they can benefit from not just a monetary perspective, but also, it’s a huge opportunity to showcase their skills to a larger audience and gain popularity.
How excited are you for this new venture?
I am thrilled to be creating content in a short video format and can’t wait to see this trend go viral. Everyone loves dancing, and individuals like us who are Bollywood buffs, love nothing more than dancing to monsoon songs. I am looking forward to watching some amazing participation for content creators across the country as they groove to their favourite monsoon tracks with me. With the pandemic and everyone being at home, short video content especially has seen a rise and people are looking at apps like Roposo to express themselves.
What does dance mean to you?
Dance is like food to my soul. I feel extremely fortunate to be able to pursue dancing as a career and do what I love the most, every single day of my life.
What is your favourite Bollywood monsoon song?
Choosing just one song is the most difficult decision I will have to make. But If I do have to choose only one, it will have to be ‘Taal Se Taal Mila’! It’s the most beautifully created song ever, and I always dance to this one whenever it’s playing.
What are the challenges you are facing during this journey?
Well, without challenges, one never learns, and learning is essential for perfection. There are challenges and obstacles in every aspect of one’s life. I am just going to overcome them and be THE Alisha Singh that I have always been, maybe an even better version of her.
Any final message?
I urge everyone to follow the #DanceWithAlisha trend and wish them all the best. I am really looking forward to a fun monsoon dance challenge with everyone where they can join me to create some great content from the comfort of their homes. Also, the pandemic hasn’t come to an end yet. I request everyone to follow all the necessary guidelines and please get vaccinated. Let’s all overcome this once and for all.
