To begin with, how does it feel to be a digital star?
It is overwhelming to be an influencer through digital media since you can reach millions of people. It is a dream come true for me.
How did dance become your passion in life?
Dancing was not just a hobby but my passion since I can recall. I never knew I could make a career out of it but I did and it is the best feeling ever.
Tell us about your channel Live To Dance with Sonali?
Well, my channel is about 2 years old and recently has hit 1M subscribers with 75 videos uploaded. I upload dance covers weekly and try to make dance tutorials too.
What is your favourite dance style?
There are a lot many styles that I want to venture in but my favourite being a mix of hip hop and Bollywood.
Do you consider yourself a feminist?
I consider myself a humanist.
Your thoughts on rising crime rate against women in India?
The crime rates recently have seen a spike and it’s horrific to see that living in 2018 for women is unsafe. Saddening is that the crimes against us women like assault, eve teasing, rapes, dowry and other niche crimes go unreported still due to ignorance and fear.
Tell us a bit about your association with Qyuki Digital?
Qyuki has been a constant support for me since mine was a small channel. They’ve guided me throughout and have helped me grow.
Ever fancy working for television or movies or internet is your preferred choice of medium?
I believe in going with the flow so I’m looking forward to see what I’ve got in store. But the internet has been the responsible hand for what I am today so I will continue to give my input to the digital media for as long as I can.

How do you keep yourself updated as a performer?
The digital media, of course!
When not busy working how do you unwind?
I usually take a day off with my family and friends.
