Namik Paul is looking forward to his new upcoming Sony TV show tentatively titled Ek Deewana Tha, a development which was first published by IndianWikiMedia.
“This is my second show (post Ek Duje Ke Vaaste) with the channel for they always make interesting and relatable content,” confirms the good looking actor.
Namik, who began his career as a journalist, refused to spell out character details, “But rest assured it is completely different from what you have seen me doing so far.”
Besides acting, Namik is also anchoring Aye Zindagi on Zing.”At first, I was nervous as this was my first stint as a host, but over time I have grown in confidence and now I am more myself on stage. The concept is also good for it gives many inspiring stories to the youth. To be honest, the venture has prepared me for hard anchoring assignments down the road.”
Namik, who has done a web series The Trip, is looking forward to more such endeavours. “I got a lot of recognition for my efforts, although I was not part of the plot continuously. This format is growing for it gives us a chance to come out of the restrictions of TV.”
Here, Namik adds that the dialogue around web is wrong, “There are a lot of question like if ‘you will enact bold scenes’. Rather, the question should be what is the story like? Why do we make such a fuss about it, why can’t we be like US where there is quite a bit of nudity and murder, yet no one bats an eye lid. If these things come organically it is fine, but not if forced, just to rake in eye balls. ”
Well said Namik, wish you all the best.
