Talented and young actress Ahsaas Channa who has been featuring in many youth-based fun-provoking videos of TVF Girliyapa is presently seen in Girliyapa’s series, Girls Hostel, directed by Chaitanya Kumbhakonum.
Essaying the role of Richa Kamat, the 19 years old from Nagpur, Ahsaas has yet again come up with a very interesting portrayal.
The series has Parul Gulati playing the role of Zahira, Simran Natekar as Milli and Srishti Srivastava as Jo.
Says Ahsaas, “Richa has just entered college and immediately starts liking Jo. However, she is scared of Zahira. The viewers get to see the story along the perspective of Richa. So you can say that all are seeing through the eyes of Richa. As the track progresses, viewers will get to see more of her. She is a girl who has never got the freedom that she wanted at home. So in the girls’ hostel, she will be seen making her own rules and living by it. She will finally enjoy the freedom that she has been longing to have.”
Ahsaas who has had a good share of work on the small as well as big screen feels that her character in the series is very much relatable. “In cases, girls of today do not get the freedom they want at home. The concept of Girls Hostel is very relatable too. Talking about my character being relatable, girls tend to get free when not in the company of family and home. There is nobody to stop them at a hostel. The problems shown in the series are very real. When you hear of the reference of a girls’ hostel, we tend to imagine about all the girly things. I think every character has its own trait; all our characters are very different from each other. I really love the concept and show.”
Way to go, Ahsaas!!
