Don’t forget to gaze around the streets for the ultimate style suggestions while watching the runway shows during Paris Fashion Week. Gigi Hadid, who was pictured leaving the Royal Monceau Hotel in Paris last week in a bold all-green ensemble, understands the value of a powerful street style statement.
While New York Fashion Week is known for its whimsy, the Paris edition is known for its elevated looks, even when the models are not on the runway. Being Netflix’s most popular shows, it’s been amusing to watch academic-inspired fashion making its way onto the street style scene. The khaki green skirt and turtleneck worn by Hadid aren’t exactly professional.
The dark green blazer on top gives this look a whimsical collegiate vibe, similar to Heidi Slimane’s Celine Spring 2021 collection. The leather loafers play to the androgyny of the look and are ideal for an off-duty model who spends much of her time on-duty in heels. Hadid’s little cheetah print bag, which is very current in shape and style, breaks up the all-green monotony.
The model is wearing Harris Reed earrings, which were designed by the same designer who created Iman’s show-stopping Met Gala ensemble this year. The Harris ReedxMissoma collection’s gently adorned gold ‘Serpent’ earrings take this ensemble from ordinary to off-duty model-worthy.
