The series co-produced by Sidharth Sengupta and directed by Ashish Shukla has been hitting the headlines for its gripping story and narrative.
Says Dibyendu, “It has been a good journey with Undekhi. It is a fantastic team with a meaty script and the role is really good. DCP Ghosh is a smart guy; he is witty and has a love for Bollywood. He has problems in his personal life and faces trouble from the outer world too. These kinds of characters are interesting to perform. The guy is full of life, at the same time is so oriented towards his work and cracking his crime cases. One can relate with such characters.”
Talking about the story and concept, he says, “With respect to the story and script, everything that is shown in the series is reflective in today’s society. Shooting for Undekhi was real fun. When you are part of a script full of substance, the journey is truly memorable. The series has huge twists in every scene, forget about the twists in every new episode. I am damn sure that people watching it will be totally glued to it. The narrative is so fast and power-packed that it will create huge levels of intrigue.”
“I am so thankful to Applause for producing this kind of content. The way it has been shot by Sidharth Sengupta and Ashish Shukla is simply amazing.”
Dibyendu Bhattacharya has been part of great work in cinema like Monsoon Wedding, Ab Tak Chappan, Black Friday, Dev D, B.A. Pass, Section 375 etc.
Ask him how he chooses to play varied characters like he has done in his career and he quips, “If I go on to retrospect my career, the chronology has been really good. My first film Monsoon Wedding had me in a prized role. By the grace of God, I have been part of really good projects. Even if the roles have been small, they have been meaty enough and the concepts have been amazing. I have always been in good hands with the right people and right concepts. Luckily, I have got roles that have the spike. As an actor, I love to deal with human emotions and want to identify myself with every kind of character I play.”
Talking about the loacations in which shoot happened, he states, “We have shot at some exquiasite locations in Manali. We have shot in the jungles, on the road, at the market place, near the river side etc. It was great to work amidst the beauty of Nature in Manali.”
