Anubha Arora, who has impressed audiences in Power of Paanch and is next to be seen in Vivek Agnihotri’s The Delhi Files, is eager to explore more challenging roles in the industry.
Talking about one of her most cherished experiences which was sharing the screen with Bollywood stars, she says, “I have acted with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in an ad. And it was so surreal and unbelievable. Watching them perform up close was a learning experience in itself. That night, I rewarded myself with a bucket of ice cream because I felt like I had achieved something big.”
Among the roles she has played, she finds her character Adeeba in Power of Paanch particularly special. “I think Adeeba is one of the most interesting and different characters that I have played. She has so many layers, and portraying her emotions was a thrilling experience for me as an actor.”
When it comes to her ultimate dream as an actor, she has no doubts. “I have always been very clear that I want to work with Imtiaz Ali sir once in my life. I have manifested it, and I believe and trust my God that one day I will. His storytelling is magical, and I would love to be a part of that world.”
She is also drawn to grand storytelling and historical narratives. “I would love to do a period drama. I trust and believe I could do it well. I am good at mythological scenes, and I have always been fascinated by historical characters. Also, I would love to see myself in that era and in that character. It would be a dream come true to bring a powerful story from the past to life.”
For Anubha, challenges are a driving force. “I love to take challenges because they define who we are and what we can do. Stepping out of my comfort zone is what helps me grow as an actor and as a person.”
