Young actor Somesh Sharma who has appeared in TV shows Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and Thapki Pyar Ki 2 is happy to have got the opportunity of being part of the Disney Plus Hotstar series Date with Senior.
Says Somesh, “It was fun and overwhelming at the same time, shooting with seniors like Parikshit Joshi and Tithi Raaj and our director Gaurav Kapoor. I have always wanted to do a digital sketch along the lines of college romance. I am grateful and happy that I got this wonderful opportunity.”
Talking about his character, Somesh states, “I am playing Tanmay’s character who is a senior in college, smart looking, sharp and little egoistic who wants to become popular fast. It’s always fun to play such characters which are very opposite to my nature and personality.”
The actor who has been part of two big shows on TV in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and Thapki Pyar Ki 2 says, “I am grateful to be a part of GHKKPM which allowed me to showcase my talent and gave me a kick start in this industry. The same applies to Thapki Pyar Ki 2 where I am getting to show my versatility by learning and doing something different every day whether it’s in reel or real life. Speaking about my ongoing show TPK2, I am really enjoying my new track in the serial.”
On the kind of roles that he will like to portray, Somesh states, “I really want to do different characters, more in lead roles whether it’s positive or negative lead as I’ll get to uncover many layers of my talent and would get to grow as an actor and an individual as well.”
“Some discussions are going on relating to my upcoming projects which would be out soon. Apart from wanting to work more in TV serials, I would love to explore more on the digital platform like Timeliners, FilterCopy and TVF.”
