Mr. Faisu: The Digital Star’s Amazing Success Story

Here's All you need to know about Mr. Faisu's success story

In the odd world of social media, success isn’t entirely determined by good looks, mind-blowing skill (at least, talent in the traditional sense! ), years of education, valuable contacts, or even nepotism! Your number of followers establishes your social (media) status — individuals who watch your every move, are admirers of your every production and indicate their great admiration for you by simply pressing ‘like.’ The more likes and followers you have, the more successful you will be! It may or may not persist, but while it does, it provides a thrilling ride, so there are no complaints!

The legendary ’15-seconds of fame era’ is currently taking the world by storm. Men and women on the Tiktok planet make hilarious expressions, mouth dubbed lines, create music and super short films, and communicate with millions of people all around the world. Tiktok is arguably the only made-in-China app without any negative feedback.

Faisu’s (let’s just call him Faisu on Tiktok!) social media adventure began with Dubsmash videos. He was your typical Bandra Joe, having completed his education, working as a salesperson on Hill Road, and socializing with his buddies, all while making extensive use of his smartphone.

With 55 million app installations, India, ever ready to surge into the digital revolution, dominates the Tiktok market. And wonder who is the world’s newest celebrity — a little Bandra youngster with over 27 MILLION Instagram followers! He has more than 12 million Instagram followers, which is more than some of Bollywood’s greatest A-listers. In fact, he may put a couple of our actors to shame with the hysteria he creates. Meet Mr. Faisu, also known as Faisal Shaikh, a Tiktok sensation whose extraordinary narrative exemplifies the incredible power of social media.

According to Faisu, the turning moment occurred during a trip to Ahmedabad for an event. The organizer had estimated that roughly 1000-1200 people would attend. To everyone’s amazement, around 4000 children were yelling his name. The explanation was that just before the concert, he had released a video with the hotel in the backdrop. His ‘following’ flocked to him.
