Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar the upcoming web series, written by Kamal Pandey, produced by Bombay Show Studios and directed by Shraddha Pasi Jairath, is a powerful tale of romance and vengeance. The series stars newcomers Dhaval Thakur and Sanchita Basu and will launch on Disney+ Hotstar on 22 November. Actress Palak Jain who has featured in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega, Patna Shukla etc, will feature in the series, in a significant role.
Palak who cited that she cannot speak anything regarding her character in the series, enjoyed the shoot and its journey. Says Palak, “It was great shooting this web series Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar. Though I cannot talk about my character, all I can say is that I play the role of Mala in the series.”
This is Palak’s first opportunity in the OTT platform and she is grateful to have had the experience. “The kind of approach while shooting this series was a bit different. We had discussions before scenes about how to bring more beauty to the character with the Director Shraddha Mam. She was very supportive all through this journey. The writer, Kamal Sir, was spontaneous in creativity and improvisation and found the process so realistic. It was a big well-knit family when we were shooting.”
Narrating a particular incident which is etched in her memory, Palak says, “The fun part of the entire show was one scene which I shot with my on-screen mom by putting a face mask on my face. This has been my favourite memory.”
Without talking much about her character, Palak avers, “My character has a very good graph from innocence to bringing more depth while exuding grace to the character. I feel people are going to love it and I hope to be flooded with a lot of love. My entry happens a bit late, but the storyline is very interesting. I wish that all our hard work gets appreciated when viewers see the series and like it.”
