ZEE5 has consistently been a leader in producing and providing exceptional content for its audience. Even during the pandemic, the video streaming platform continues to present fresh Original content – from films like Pareeksha, Chintu Ka Birthday, Yaara, Bamfaad, Ghoomketu to web series like Lalbazaar, Mafia, and most recently, Churails. The OTT player is the only one to start shooting in the lockdown, with units following and maintaining all the restrictions and safety guidelines that have been set. Naxalbari, one of the most awaited Originals, is currently being shot in Goa.

One of India’s most famous loved television actors, Aamir Ali, is all set to make his digital debut with Naxalbari. He will be seen playing an intriguing character in the show. “I wanted to play a character that is distinct and mysterious at the same time. I’mI’m excited to be part of Naxalbari and can wait for my fans to witness a character I have never played before. We have been shooting in Goa, and the experience is very different. Still, I must admit the dedication and hard work the crew put into work in this situation is heart-warming and commendable. Naxalbari is an interesting subject, and all the actors in the show have come together to deliver something brilliant. This one will be a show like no other”,” shares Aamir.

This fictional series consists of eight action-packed episodes that depict the protagonist’sprotagonist’s battle against a red uprising. Raghav, a determined cop played by Rajeev Khandelwal, faces numerous challenges as he races against time to save the day. The series takes viewers on a thrilling journey through the dense jungles of Maharashtra and the metropolitan cities where Naxal ideology is prevalent.

Apart from Aamir Ali (Keswani), the star cast includes Rajeev Khandelwal (Raghav), Tina Datta (Ketki), Sreejita Dey (Prakriti), Satyadeep Mishra (Pahan), Shakti Anand (Binu Atram) in prominent roles.

The show is directed by Partho Mitra and produced by GSEAMS (Arjun & Kartik).
