Popular actor Prateik Babbar, who plays the lead role in ZEE5’s upcoming science-fiction web series Skyfire, says he is very excited to be part of the genre. The story of Skyfire revolves around a natural calamity that affects thousands of lives due to weather changes. It is an adaptation of an eponymous book written by Aroon Raman.
Talking about his role and the web series, he said, “Every character is a challenge. I am playing a journalist who will go to any extent to make sure that the right things are done. He is a righteous guy. This character is different as I have never forayed into the science fiction hence it was very challenging as well as I was excited. I have done negative, positive and supporting roles and I will continue to do so if catches my fancy. I am not here to be a hero or a villain, I am here to be an actor and that what I will do for the rest of my life. I feel with intense shoot these light moments should be there as they make the atmosphere lighter and positive. I am nervous so I hope the hard work pays off well as we have put in our love and made the series for the audience. we hope they like it.”
During the trailer launch of the web series, he also said about the web being the rapidly growing platform. “Akshay Kumar is part of the platform. Everybody wants to venture into this platform. All west actors are exploring the medium and they are doing good. It is not like there is no work hence they are foraying into the web. They are doing web as well as the movie. It is a hot platform now, growing rapidly.”
