TV actor Pooja Gor, of Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya fame, seems to love the digital space, for, apart from her ongoing web series, Pyaar Ka Punch, she and partner Raj Singh Arora have just featured in a cute short film, Love Isn’t Blind. This Big FM presentation went live yesterday, on Valentine’s Day, as part of the promotions for an upcoming film, Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz.
“When director Gaurav Bajaj approached us with this concept, based on the love of a real-life, Pune-based blind couple, we immediately said yes, for, who would not want to be part of this heart-touching project. It spoke about how they met, their funda of love, raising a normal child, etc.”, says Pooja.
What really impressed us was the apt body language of visually-impaired folks that Pooja and Raj displayed.“Not having enough prep time, I was worried and skeptical. The toughest thing for any actor is to portray a handicapped person, as we can’t afford to be disrespectful. We put in our best and I am glad that we could pull it off. It was our earnest effort to highlight Jyoti and Santosh’s beautiful story,” mentions Pooja.
When asked if the 11-minuterun length was a tad too long, given the fact that there was no climax to the story, she says, “I am only concerned with my job. These things are better addressed by the director and production house (Notorious Owl Pictures). I have absolutely no views on this and am just happy to be part of this wonderful project.”
Pooja, who plays a cute wife in Pyaar Ka Punch for Shitty Ideas Trending streaming on YouTube, says, “Web is the best platform for doing different kinds of stuff as there are no restrictions. I am open for more. But I will put my foot down when it comes to baring. Having said that, I am open to bold concepts.”
Pooja is also open to making a comeback to TV, “If something juicy comes along.” Her last long-running show was the hospital drama, Ek Nayi Ummeed- Roshni, which came and went unsung.
In closing, Pooja requests all her fans.“Do spare a few minutes and watch Love Isn’t Blind. I promise you will have the brightest smile at the end of it. Also, do let us know what you think.”
