Young lad Paras Kalnawat, who is known for his acting chops in Meri Durga and Mariam Khan – Reporting Live, will be venturing into the web world.
The actor will be playing the lead role in the upcoming web series Ishq Aaj Kal. Produced by Dheeraj Kumar, the upcoming ZEE5 Original web series is a unique love story laced with mystery. It also stars Angad Hasija, Ankitta Sharma, Roshmi Banik, Kavita Ghai, Shagun Jaswal and Kunal Nirola in important roles.
Talking about his web debut, he says, “It is a completely different experience to work on a web platform. The actors and the team have time to work on the story. It is not hectic like TV. Also, the budget of a web show is higher than a TV episode. There are more luxury and comfort level.”
Paras further adds, “TV and digital both have their requirement. However, I prefer web series over TV. There is more originality in the character of a web show. The TV show characters are fictional hence they are more dramatic. However, on the digital platform, we get to be natural and real.”
Ask about Ishq Aaj Kal, he shares, “The web series Ishq Aaj Kal is a thriller drama with a pinch of romance. Although the show doesn’t spread a social message, its suspense part will hook the audience to the series. I personally like a thriller and romantic series. I loved the recent web series by ALTBalaji, Broken But Beautiful. I also liked Mirzapur and Scared Games.”
