I relate more to the character of Lakshya in The Good Vibes: Maanvi Gagroo

Maanvi Gagroo who is presently seen in Sony LIV’s web-series, The Good Vibes talks about the series and her role and concept.

Maanvi Gagroo is back on the digital space with Legrand’s web-series, The Good Vibes wherein she is joined by TVF Pitchers co-actor Naveen Kasturia. The series is streamed on Sony LIV and YouTube.

The Good Vibes which is presently streaming has Maanvi in the role of Jonita who is a happy-go-lucky girl and wife, who is the bread-winner of her house.

Talking about this new role and offering, Maanvi tells IWMBuzz.com, “Jonita is a very practical-minded, working girl. The story is from the point of view of Lakshya i.e. Naveen Kasturia’s character. So it was very hard for me to get my role right. The Director Sizil Srivastava was very clear that I had to keep in mind that Jonita does not come across as a bitch. She’s not a bad person; she taunts her husband and scolds him too not because she’s bad. She is getting frustrated in the marriage, since he is not working and keeps partying always. That is basically where she is coming from. So we tried hard to capture her point of view correctly.”

The Good Vibes produced by Bohemian Films was shot within 12 days. “It was great to shoot it in such a short span of time. There were days when we shot for more than 12 hours to 20 hours. The idea was to finish shoot before the monsoon started. In fact, we got the first rain on the last day of our shoot (smiles).”

On the relatibility of the concept, Maanvi states, “Lot of people have been writing to me about how relatable the concept is. Also, I had earlier worked with the Director Sizil and when he called me for this, I accepted it. The story was pretty relatable. To tell you, I related more to Lakshya’s character. I am laid back, and will do things at my own time. Nobody can force me to do things. I liked the fact that someone is telling the story of such a guy. Also, when I found out that Naveen might be playing my husband, I was overjoyed.”

Maanvi will feature in Amazon Prime’s upcoming series, Four More Shots Please produced by Pritish Nandy Productions.

Way to go, girl!!
