1. Ritwika Gupta
We’ve seen her hosting shows on TV but Ritwika Gupta received appreciation last year for her lockdown short film ‘The Intruder’. Ritwika, who plays the lead in the film, was fantastic in the gripping thriller. Not many know that she grew up and studied in Singapore. Bengali by birth, the doe-eyed beauty had shared the stage with Shah Rukh Khan as a professional dancer at 18 years of age. Upon relocating to Mumbai. Ritwika started her career with a Britannia ad and was a part of many commercials, music videos and TV shows thereafter. At present, she anchors her weekly TV show which also streams on Zee5. The multi-talented girl regularly shares her TV work, dance videos and style posts on her Instagram @ritzdotcom. She’s one face to look forward to in the coming years.
2. Sarah Hashmi
Sarah Hashmi bagged accolades for her short film, ‘Bebaak’ last year. Not many know but this bubbly Delhi girl’s uncle is the late Safdar Hashmi, who was a stalwart in the industry. Sarah’s family is also active in the arts & culture scene in Delhi. And did you know Sarah has also acted in Dil Dhadakdne Do directed by Zoya Akhtar in 2015? She was effortless in that too. Having attended National School of Drama, Sarah was approached by Shazia Iqbal for the role of Fatin. It was a challenging role but Sarah sure pulled it off. Up next for Sarah is a web show, ‘Operation MBBS’. This spunky young girl is really going places!
3. Sadia Khateeb
Sadia was studying electrical engineering and had never auditioned for a film. But a casting director saw her picture with a friend and approached her for the movie ‘Shikara’. Born and raised in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bhaderwah, Sadia calls her debut a stroke of luck but it did not even seem like she was new to acting. Her performance was immensely praised by critics as Sadia handled her role with equal maturity and vulnerability. A quintessential enchanting beauty who has great screen presence, we cannot wait to see more of Sadia in future.
4. Anuritta Jha
34-year-old Anuritta Jha made her debut with Gangs of Wasseypur in 2012 but according to her, it was a while before she could get noticed. The girl from Bihar starred in a powerful short film titled ‘Holi Ka Dahan’ that focuses on the powers vested in a woman’s heart. It’s a story of how she breaks free from a toxic relationship. Anuritta was also seen in MXplayer’s Aashram starring Bobby Deol. This girl is a go-getter and very promising.
5. Kritika Bharadwaj
While ‘Mismatched’ on Netflix is popularly famous as a Prajakta Kohli (mostlysane) starrer, Kritika Bharadwaj as Simran stood out for her sassy attitude and drop-dead gorgeous looks. Kritika has also acted in numerous YouTube skits and is pretty famous on social media with a following of over 25000 on Instagram. The gorgeous girl has also been in ad with Sara Ali Khan and often posts her work and stunning headshots on the gram. We think she will rule the charts very soon!
