Actress Suchitra Pillai has enthralled audiences in TV shows Beintehaa and Swabhimaan and web series Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai (ALTBalaji) and Betaal (Netflix).
The talented thespian will be seen in essaying an interesting cameo in Netflix’s upcoming series Masaba Masaba. Based on real-life moments from Masaba Gupta’s life, this light-hearted fictional series follows her unique background, the diverse worlds she straddles across fashion and family, and her foray back into the dating world. An inspirational, joyous celebration of her life, this fun series is packed with tongue-in-cheek humour, enacted by the mother-daughter duo, Masaba and Neena Gupta themselves.
Talking about her experience of shooting for Masaba Masaba, Suchitra said “I was excited to be a part of Masaba Masaba. When Masaba started off as a designer, I was one of her first clients so it feels great to see her grow and be a part of her beautiful story. I always wanted to work with Neena Gupta and am glad I could in this series. While it is not a huge role, it is a well-defined and fun-loving character. Moreover, it is fabulous to see Masaba and Neena Gupta put their lives out there in the open because it takes guts and courage to do so. Masaba Masaba is a fictionalized series and is different in its own ways. I am looking forward to it and hope the audiences enjoy it.”
