Akanksha Bhandari, the voice behind Tere Liye from Namaste England, feels thankful to the industry for giving her a lifetime opportunity.
She says, “The life changing moment in my life was when I offered to sing Tere Liye from Namaste England starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra with Atif Aslam. He is a legendary singer and singing along with him was a huge opportunity. I would especially like to thank Mannan Shaah for giving this platform to showcase my talent. I am happy that the industry is welcoming new talent especially Mannan, who believe in giving chance to amazing talent.”
Talking about her passion for music, she adds, “I am from Amritsar but we later shifted to Ambala. Then for my MBA I came down to Mumbai. I completed my studies and ventured into singing. I always wanted to become a singer as I used to sing since childhood along with my mom. I used to participate in school competitions too. I knew that I am not made for a corporate job. I am happy that I am living my dream with the support of my parents.”
When asked about the struggles faced by her during the process, she avers, “I did not suffer in terms of support, but health was an issue. I had some problem with my jaw because of which I was not able to open my mouth; hence I couldn’t sing. That phase was really difficult for me. However, I am glad that it has passed.”
On an ending note, she shares about her association with One Digital Entertainment. “It has been a great experience as they have been very supportive. They handle my YouTube page very well and I don’t have to worry too much regarding the content and production things. I am happy that I got a good team working for me. They have helped me grow as an artist.”
Way to go, Akanksha!!
