I started watching Urdu shows to prepare for Kainaat,” reveals Bebaakee actress Shivjyoti Rajput

While everyone seems to be raving about the lead performances in ALTBalaji and ZEE5 Club’s latest offering Bebaakee, one character in the show that fans can’t get enough, is the gorgeous and talented newbie Shivjyoti Rajput. Shivjyoti is no stranger to the camera as she has been featured alongside a host of A-listers from Bollywood like Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh on TV commercials for several leading brands.

Debuting with a web series off to a flying start, this diva in the making captivated everyone with her screen presence starring alongside Kushal Tandon and Karan Jotwani in the romantic drama. With her character of Kainaat now being a name every ALTBalaji and ZEE5 Club viewer knows about, the actress shed more light on how she prepared herself to play this role.

Speaking about her preparations for the role, Shivjyoti Rajput said; “With this being my very first show, preparing for the role was so very important. That said, I had very little time on hand to get a grasp of things as I was the last person to be roped in on the show. To catch up, I took a week from the production team and got to speed by watching a couple of Muslim-centric shows where the characters spoke Urdu. Doing so and getting the accent for the show was very important, as that is one of the prime essences of Bebaakee. If I hadn’t nailed the mannerisms of Kainaat, it would have killed the vibe. Kainaat is both a Punjabi as well as a Muslim girl, so I had to strike the perfect balance between saying ‘Haanji papaji’ and ‘Ammi’ on the other side. Watching these shows helped me a lot!”

Experience the passion of Sufiyaan, the strength and love of Kainaat, and the enduring and respectful love of Imtiaz in Bebaakee. With finally the show being launched, we can’t wait to see how things unfold in this family drama that is high on emotion. The first ten episodes are already streaming on both the digital platforms, while new episodes arrive soon!
