The intention of comedy is always to entertain, not offend – Karunesh Talwar

Check out what Comedian Karunesh Talwar has to say on his new Amazon Prime Video Stand-up show

Karunesh Talwar is one of the most entertaining and fun-loving personalities that we have in the arena of stand-up comedy. After having started as a participant in an ‘Open Mic Contest’ for Vir Das, he got his share of love and fame after having done a fabulous job in AIB 2015 Roast. So far, he has performed all over the country to entertain the audience and now, he’s back with a bang for the second time with Amazon Prime Video with his new stand-up show ‘Alaas Motapa Ghabrahat’.

The stand-up series started streaming from June 15th and has been liked by a lot of people from all over the country. Quite often, we see jokes from comedians not taken in the right spirit due to which a certain section of the crowd tends to get offended. When Karunesh was asked about his reaction to this during a conversation with IWMBuzz, he was quoted as saying,

“This is part and parcel of life, I feel. I can’t say for others but when I write a script or pen anything, the idea behind that comedy is to always entertain and not offend. Touchwood, it hasn’t happened with me so far where a huge section of trolls have slammed me for a certain act. But I have seen that happen with others. I personally try to ensure that I keep the content as relatable as possible so that one is able to resonate with that. I am all game for upgrading and modifying myself to ensure entertain better.”
