Harleen Sethi, who showcased her acting chops in Gabru: Hip Hop Ke Shehzaade, is all set to make her digital debut.
The young damsel will be seen playing the lead girl in ALTBalaji’s much-awaited web series ‘Broken’.
Broken will showcase some heart-melting and mellifluous songs which are sung and composed by the most celebrated musicians from the Bollywood industry namely, Shreya Ghoshal, Dev Negi, Papon and Miss Pooja, Arijit Singh and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Talking about her first web-series, Harleen says, “My experience was outstanding. Vikrant is a great actor and it is wonderful to work with him. The story was perfect and Ekta Kapoor was also associated with the project. So I never had a single thought of not doing the series. Another reason of picking up the series was that it was a love story and I really love such kind of romantic flicks. It was my dream to be a part of a love story on screen. I would love to do such stories in future too.”
Harleen feels any medium cannot take over the other medium. “Nowadays, actors don’t see these platforms as a different thing. They consider all platforms as one. I also thought that web would be a perfect platform to showcase my talent. I think in India there is an audience for each medium. There are women who enjoy their daily soaps. Youth, who want everything on the tip of their fingers and love spending time on the web platform and people who love watching movies enjoy going to theatre and watching cinema. So you can’t tell that web is taking over TV or any other medium as they have their audiences intact.”
When asked about her experience working with co-star Vikrant, she avers, “Vikrant has been an inspiration and I have learnt a lot from him. He is very good with what he does; so I used to equally prepare myself to match his level of experience and acting.”
On an ending note, Harleen requests audience to watch Broken. “There is a lot of drama, love and emotions in the series. There are amazing dialogues and songs which will be relatable to your life. I hope you will love the series. Please watch and give us your feedback.”
Good luck, Harleen!
