Budding actress Shubhangi Mehrotra, who has featured in Viu’s web series Truth or Tamanna? wants to be part of shows which are content driven.

She says, “My dream is to do a Dharma Film. My dream role would be Pooh of Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham. I would want to do a strong female-centric role be it on any platform. The medium doesn’t matter to me. I want to explore as an actor and want to be known for my acting talent. I don’t want to do saas-bahu characters, rather I want to be part of projects which are backed by a good script. I don’t mind exploring supernatural and mytho characters.”

Going back to her initial days, she adds, “I was a shy kid in my childhood. I never faced the audience during my school days. The first time I auditioned for a fashion show and loved the feeling of being on the stage. However, my height was comparatively short to the other models. Then I went on to auditioned for movies, TV ads. I did a movie Call For Fun but it did not do great at the box office. Later, I did a web series named Viu’s Truth or Tamanna? I also featured in one of the episodes of Zindagi Ke Crossroads.”

When we ask about her favourite actor, he shares, “My inspiration in life is Shah Rukh Khan and I am his big fan. In TV, I used to like Rajat Tokas during his Prithvi Chauhan times.”
