Model and actor Poppy Jabbal who is presently shooting for Applause Entertainment’s series, Udan Patolas is having a whale of a time working for the web space.
The gorgeous actress who has earlier been part of the web-series Lost & Found has shot for ALTBalaji’s series Broken (to be launched) in addition to being part of Udan Patolas.
Talking about her journey on the web space she states, “Udan Patolas is actually my third series on the digital space. It is really good as you get to do lot of things without any hitch of being typecast. If at all such a role was offered to me on TV, a medium which of course I have not attempted, I would have thought about it five times before taking it up. It is much easier to do such roles on the web and you get well-accepted too.”
Talking about Udan Patolas, the announcement of which was made recently, she states, “The story is all about sisterhood between four girls and how they deal with their issues and emotions. It is a very realistic story and it is the official remake of the Israeli show, Honey Badgers. On the web space, you get to work a lot with fashion and language, as the tales are so modern.”
On ALTBalaji’s Broken that is expected soon, she avers, “The series has come out really well, is what I have been told. I am eagerly waiting for it to come up.”
Poppy has recently wrapped up a Punjabi movie. “It is a very interesting project, a film based on education. It was different in terms of writing and I look forward to that too.”
