Web space is a good place to be in as we need to put in our energies for a shorter period of time: Vivan Bhatena 1

Vivan Bhatena who worked his way into the industry with strong portrayals in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kumkum – Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan is one actor who has proved his worth on the big screen too.

Known for his roles in Dangal, Judwaa 2, Vivan has also had a good run on the web space. He was recently seen in Voot’s successful series, It’s Not That Simple 2 starring Swara Bhaskar in the lead role. The series also has Sumeet Vyas, Purab Kohli Manasi Rachh playing vital roles.

Says Vivan, “It is a good time to be an actor. There is so much content being developed and so many shows happening that things work in an actor’s favour. I am trying different things as an actor. We can experiment with different roles and try out new challenges. The web space is a good place to be in as we need to put in our energies for a shorter period of time.”

On his film achievements, Vivan explains, “2017 was good for me. I had Dangal and Judwaa 2 coming out. Down South, I had Rajaa The Great which was again a good movie and did pretty well. I have a cameo role in Amavas which is expected soon. I am meeting the concerned people for a big action film. Ramayan with Kunal Kohli titled Ram Yug will come this year.”

For Vivan, getting into the Season 2 of It’s Not That Simple 2 was comparatively tough as there were quite a few complexities that were brought into the character of Rajiv. “Season 1 of It’s Not That Simple was a hit. And when talks of Season 2 happened, the makers wanted lot more content. New characters were brought in which built up a bigger storyline. “

Vivan’s character Rajiv in Season 1 of It’s Not That Simple was far more different from what he gets to be in Season 2. “It was challenging as my character was changed in Season 2. Rajiv was made more desperate while in Season 1, he was shown to be a Casanova. Here, he turns to be confused and conflicted character.”

Talking about the challenges in working out this drastic change, he says, “It has come out pretty nicely. I spoke to the Director and Producer initially as I was not too convinced about the drastic change brought in overnight. But they explained how they wanted the story forward. So we worked on a different kind of perspective to the character. I am happy that people like it. The response to the series and my character has been really good.”

Vivan will soon be back on the big screen as he is in talks for a big action film.

Here’s wishing Vivan all the very best!!
