Why did Munawar Faruqui cry in an interview?
The comedian was present for an interview with the YouTuber Ranveer Allhabadia in his podcast. He was jailed for 37 days. Talking about the time when he was arrested, Ranveer asked, “What’s been more tense than this?” Munawar said, “The last 16 years without my mom I feel it everyday, It’s like the sixteen year is difficult for me and everyday it’s like getting more difficult for me.”
Ranveer asked him, “What’s the solution for this?” While Munawar replied, “There is no solution, there is a song in the album Mumtaz, My mom name is Mumtaaz, There is one line when I say, I feel like what did I write and why did I write.”
He continues, “Yeh Duniya Milna Chahti Mujhse, Nahi Jo Duniya Me Mai Milna Chahta Usko.” Explaining this sentence, the artist bursts out crying, remembering his mother; he says, “It’s like you have the world, the world wants to meet you, But I’m saying. No, I want to meet the person who is not there in the world.”
