During the past few days a fake Twitter war between Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap has been generated to create interest in their film together called , that’s right, AK Vs AK. Now the trailer comes to us. And it’s every bit as ridiculous as an episode of Bigg Boss, without Salman Khan.
The outrageous plot suggests that Anil Kapoor’s daughter , that’s Sonam Kapoor—in case you don’t know is kidnapped by a rather unpleasant filmmaker Anurag Kashyap who then proceeds to taunt and tease Kapoor into finding his daughter before it’s too late.
This has got to be the most ambitious/ridiculous plot one has come across in a Hindi film. The entire trailer has Kashyap hurling insults at Kapoor, calling him a has-been , etc. In turn, Kapoor calls Kashyap a “fraud” etc.
The dialogues seem to be inspired from BBC Radio 1’s Playground Insults where two big stars sit face-to-face trading insults…Except that this time, there no big star, unless you feel Anurag Kashyap qualifies. And their mutual insults sound manufactured in a boardroom filled with bored goons .
Who makes a feature film that resembles a badly-scripted reality show? Would Netflix like to take this insult?
By the way, does Sonam Kapoor get billed as ‘Kidnapped Daughter’ ? And how much did she get paid to do this? More importantly I hope Anil Kapoor’s cheque showed the right number of zeroes to make the insults acceptable.
