A big update coming in for all fans and admirers of American YouTube sensation Emma Chamberlain who’s now the latest ambassador of Cartier Jewels.
While the personality is immensely popular among all her admirers all over the globe, right now, she’s seen getting trolled for a reason that has an Indian connect. As per the latest reports in Wion, she’s getting trolled and criticized for wearing a choker with a custom-made Louis Vuittion dress. As per reports, The choker, also known as the 1928 Patiala Necklace, was commissioned by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala. Cartier had created the heirloom piece with 2,930 diamonds and a 234.65 carat De Beers diamond as the centrepiece.
The ornament was, however, allegedly stolen by the British forces in India and repurchased by Cartier.
Chamberlain wearing the heritage jewellery to the Met Gala 2022 whose theme was (ironically) “gilded glamour” did not sit well with the internet.
A lot of Indian netizens felt that the jewellery being a part of Indian culture and heritage shouldn’t be worn so casually at some vogue event.
