The much-anticipated shoot for the new show ikatthe, a collaboration between Dice Media and Civic Studios, has officially begun. The show is helmed by Gursimranjeet Khamba, a well-known name from the comedy collective AIB, who takes on the role of showrunner, while Hardik Mehta directs the series. Mehta is known for his work in films like Kaamyaab and Roohi.
The series, ikatthe, is expected to explore themes of family, identity, and resilience. Leading the cast are popular actors Barun Sobti and Hasleen Kaur. Barun, widely recognized for his performances in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? and OTT hits like Asur, takes on a key role in this new project, which promises to further cement his standing in the digital entertainment space. Meanwhile, Hasleen Kaur, who has appeared in various web series and films, joins him in what is expected to be an emotionally charged narrative.
