Julian Jewel Jeyaraj is an Indian-American computer professional, entrepreneur, producer, and social media personality.
Jewel started his posting on social media to increase awareness towards mental illness, environmental protection, through his non-profit organization, JJAIBOTT. The project has been globally appreciated, especially for its applications to tackle toxic air quality and the recent covid-19 app, which helps detect symptoms by scanning CT scan data.
Julians critically acclaimed music videos, which he posts on his Youtube channel and Instagram accounts, have been highly received by his global audience of over 1 million followers.
Julian is an author at several global publications including Entrepreneur and Forbes, covering topics and research in artificial intelligence and its business and social applications. He has given several speeches at global AI conferences, universities and educational institutions.
Julian’s social media credibility is an indirect result of a project he pioneered through disruptive innovation. He invented the Boxing Lab which developed an emotionally intelligent AI bot called JJAIBOT, that uses advanced AI algorithms to recognize images and text to detect human emotions such as anger, joy, happiness, and many other emotions. He produced music videos to spread global awareness of important environmental and social topics and promote his bot.
Julian Jewel Jeyaraj was born on August 2, 1977, in Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli City in Tamil Nadu, into a Tamil-speaking Vellalar family. Julian’s wife, scientist Dr Asha Amritraj researches Alzheimer’s. He studied a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from Bharathiyar University in 1998 and his MS in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology (BITS), Pilani in 2001.
He went on to found and operate several corporations, including Julian Enterprises Ltd, which is a leading e-business platform provider that builds brand, content, commerce and relationships networks.
In 2019, Julain began spreading awareness through social media to promote his non-profit organization by producing music videos, partnering with globally recognized artists. His contrarian approach to leverage social media and raise awareness in sustainability has not gone unnoticed by awards committees across the globe.
He is a multiple award winner and won the South India Technology Innovation Award for his research in AI Bots. Julian has also won the ‘Unity Award’ and the ‘Producer of the Year’ by the Youtuber Prestige Awards. He has also been nominated for ‘Best International Music Influencer’ by the Connoisseur Awards.
IWMBuzz Awards has also recognized the efforts Jewel has contributed to the digital media space and has been honoured for the ‘AI Influencer of the Year’ Award.
