Talented star Hemangi Kavi is known for her stellar performance across the entertainment industry in projects like Bandishala, Gadad Jambhal, School Chalega…?, Bhootkaal, has bagged a new project. IWMBuzz.com has exclusively learnt that the actress will be part of the upcoming web series Taali.
Taali is the biopic of transwoman Gauri Sawant helmed by Marathi director Ravi Jadhav. Sushmita Sen will be seen depicting her life in this movie. For the uninitiated, transgender rights campaigner Gauri Sawant is from Mumbai, India. She is the founder and director of Sakhi Char Chowghi, an organization that supports transgender and HIV/AIDS patients. She was portrayed in a Vicks commercial. She was appointed the Maharashtra Election Commission’s goodwill ambassador.
Recently, Sushmita took to her social media pages and shared her first look of the upcoming series. In the first look photo, Sushmita is seen donning a fierce look wearing a green saree and a red blouse with rudraksha and a red bindi. She finished her look with a dark red lip and hair tied in a bun. The actor is seen posing while clapping, citing the title of the series.
