Filmmaker Hansal Mehta is all set to roll out a new project titled Scoop inspired by the biographical book from journalist Jigna Vora, ‘Behind The Bars In Byculla: My Days in Prison’. As per reports in the media, Scoop on Netflix will see Karishma Tanna in the lead role of a crime journalist Jagruti Pathak.
‘Scoop’ is a character drama that traces the journey of Jagruti Pathak, an ambitious crime journalist. Her world comes crashing down when she is charged for the heinous murder of a fellow journalist, Jaideb Sen and ends up in a prison cell with those she once reported on.
We had earlier informed fans about Mehul Kajaria being roped in for the project. Now, IWMBuzz.com has exclusively learnt that actor Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, who charmed fans with his acting talent in projects like 377 Ab Normal, Rangbaaz, and Tandav has bagged the series. He is currently shooting with the team.
We reached out to Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub and the spokesperson at Netflix but did not get revert.
