Exclusive: Nawab Shah to play gangster Karim Lala in Farhan Akhtar’s Amazon Prime series Dongri to Dubai

Nawab Shah will be seen in the Amazon Prime series Dongri to Dubai produced by Farhan Akhtar.

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production venture Dongri to Dubai will chronicle the life of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and is adapted from Hussain Zaidi’s book Dongri to Dubai: Six Decades of the Mumbai Mafia. The series which will stream on Amazon Prime went on floor in the pre-Covid phase of lifestyle, but has had a long filming phase owing to the restrictions in shoot.

Recently, the series which is directed by Shujaat Saudagar resumed shoot in Madh, Mumbai.

The series as reported in media, has a stellar cast with Avinash Tiwary playing the central role of Dawood Ibrahim. Kay Kay Menon plays Dawood’s father who was a police constable. Actors Prachee Shah, Kritika Kamra, Amyra Dastur will be part of the cast of the series.

News coming to us at IWMBuzz.com is that Nawab Shah the talented actor who is having a great time in films down South will be a part of the series. He was recently seen in the Bollywood film Khuda Haafiz.

As per a reliable source, “Nawab Shah will play the role of the notorious gangster Karim Lala in the series.”

In addition to this, Nawab is presently shooting for a few Telugu and Kannad films down South.

We buzzed Nawab Shah, but did not get through to him.

We reached out to Farhan Akhtar and the spokesperson at Amazon Prime but did not get through till we filed the story.
