Shaad Randhawa to be a part of Sony Liv and Applause Entertainment’s Scam 2003

Young and talented actor Shaad Randhawa, who entertained the masses with his exceptional performances in Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, Saand Ki Aankh, Satyameva Jayate 2, and Mumbai Saga, has bagged a new project.

IWMBuzz.com has exclusively learnt that the actor will be seen in Applause Entertainment and Sony Liv recently announced Scam 2003. The show is a sequel to its successful crime drama Scam 1992- The Harshad Mehta Story. It will feature the story of the 2003 stamp paper scam by Abdul Karim Telgi. The show will be adapted from the Hindi book Reporter ki Diary authored by journalist Sanjay Singh, who is credited with breaking the story of the scam back in the time.

The series will be helmed by Hansal Mehta, also the director of the first installment, and Tushar Hiranandani. Marathi film writer Kiran Yadnyopavit, has been roped in to write and develop the story along with Singh. As per reports, theatre artiste Gagan Dev Riar will play the lead in the new series.

We had earlier exclusively reported about Dinesh Lal Yadav aka Nirahua being part of it.

When buzzed Shaad, he confirmed the news and said, “I am very excited, as Scam is one of the biggest shows in the country. I feel fortunate that Mr. Mukesh Chhabra & Hasal Mehta sir gave me this opportunity. I am really looking forward to working with the greatest talents of our country. Scam 2 is directed by Mr. Tushar Hiranandani whom I have had the pleasure to work with before in Saand Ki Aankh. I can’t divulge much about my role but all I can say is that I playing a very powerful politician.”

We reached out to the spokesperson at Sony Liv and Applause Entertainment but did not get revert till we filed the story.
