Young actress Himika Bose, who has been part of fun sketches on digital platforms like TVF, AIB, Filtercopy and Scoop Whoop, rose to fame after featuring in Malayalam feature film Valiyaperunnal. Now, according to our credible sources, the actress will be seen in Starz’s India-based streamer Lionsgate Play’s new series named U Special.
The story is set in the cheerful, quirky and vibrant world of a large university campus filled with young people from all over the country. It will be directed by Karwaan director Akarsh Khurana, who will also serve as the showrunner. Adhaar Khurana, who worked as an assistant director on Karwaan, will co-direct.
As per reports, the ensemble cast includes Sumeet Vyas, Arjun Mathur, Parambrata Chatterjee, Rukshar Dhillon, Taaruk Raina, Gopal Datt and Ahsaas Channa, among others.
Himika confirmed the news and shared, “I feel immensely grateful to be a part of it. I have been wanting to work with Adhaar and Akarsh sir for a long time and finally getting the chance has been like a dream come true. It is definitely one of the best and most fun sets I have been a part of.”
