Popular actor Manoj Pahwa, who has rocked the big screens with his performances in movies like Singh Is Kinng, Dabangg 2, Jolly LLB, Dil Dhadakne Do, has bagged a web project.
News coming in now is that seasoned actor Manoj will be part of A Suitable Boy, helmed by Mira Nair. Produced by Lookout Point for the BBC, the drama is penned by British screenwriter Andrew Davies.
A Suitable Boy is an adaptation of Vikram Seth’s novel of the same name. It tells the story of spirited university student Lata and her coming of age in North India in 1951 at the same time as the country is carving out its own identity as an independent nation and is about to go to the polls for its first democratic general elections.
The cast members include Ishaan Khatter, Tabu and Tanya Maniktala. The film also stars Shefali Shah, Vivek Gomber, Rasika Dugal, Namit Das, Ram Kapoor, Ranvir Shorey, Vinay Pathak, Mansi Multani, Joyeeta Dutta and Vivaan Shah.
