In recent times, there have been many web series that have dwelled on this special feeling of love and being loved. On the occasion of Valentine’s Day today, we run through a list of the evergreen romantic tales made in the recent past on the OTT medium.
Broken But Beautiful 3: On this day of Valentine’s Day, we tend to remember and pay our respects to the Late Sidharth Malhotra through his very series. This is slated to be the last release of Sidharth on the medium of web before his sad demise. Broken But Beautiful 3 with streamed on ALTBalaji, had him paired with Sonia Rathee. The series had an amazing love tale, coupled with all the drama and emotions. If you want to remember Sidharth, you can as well watch this series again today, for him!!
Mismatched: This Netflix series can also be the perfect fodder for lovers to watch tonight!! Mismatched was a coming of age romantic drama based on the Sandhya Menon novel, When Dimple Met Rishi. With Prajakta Koli, Rohit Saraf in lead roles, the series was about Rishi, a die-hard romantic who believes in traditional ways of dating, who falls for Dimple, a gamer, and eventually wants to marry her.
Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat: This evergreen ALTBalaji romantic tale, had Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar in lead roles. The series has seen 3 seasons through with the love tale of Karan Kapoor and Tipsy was depicted. The series was all about how opposites attract. The show explored how romance blossomed between the distinctly different personalities of Karan and Tipsy.
Little Things: This romantic series starring Dhruv Sehgal and Mithila Palkar was well-received for four long seasons. The 4th season saw the culmination to this cute love story. The story that started off as Kavya and Dhruv’s live-in tale, explored the highs and lows of life, which were beautifully captured in the series.
Flames: This MX Player series starring Ritvik Sahore and Taniya Maniktala was the tale of a young romance unfolding as a chemical reaction. Head-of-the-class Rajat falls for Ishita, the new girl in the tuition centre. Teen romance was the essence of the series and was a great watch!!
Bandish Bandits: The romantic drama series on Amazon Prime Video had debutants Ritwik Bhowmik as Radhe Rathod, a Hindustani Classical musician and Shreya Chaudhary as Tamanna Sharma, a pop singer, who hailed from different worlds of music. The series saw an amazing love tale with again, the opposite attracting each other, amid the strong base of music.
Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain: This very well-accepted web series on ALTBalaji was all about love!! With a big cast like Ronit Roy, Mona Singh, Gurdeep Kohli, the series captured the pure essence of love and depicted that there is no age to fall in love!! The series saw 3 seasons and we can expect much more to happen in the plot that will come our way whenever the new season happens!!
College Romance: Starring Manjot Singh, Apoorva Arora, Keshav Sadhna, Gagan Arora, the series was all about new age romance. The series streamed on SonyLIV and depicted three best friends who looked for love, laughs and some lifelong memories while attending college together.
Cold Lassi aur Chicken Masala: This ALTBalaji series with Rajeev Khandelwal and Divyanka Tripathi was set up in an amazing romantic zone, linked to the culinary careers that the two leads had. A remarkably acceptable plot with a great love tale and amazing performances, this series was loved by one and all.
Dil Bekaraar: This Disney Plus Hotstar series is a romantic comedy based on the novel Those Pricey Thakur Girls by Anuja Chauhan. Set in the 80s, the 10-episode series Dil Bekaraar revolved around the day-to-day shenanigans of Justice LN Thakur, his wife Mamta and their alphabetically named five daughters Anjini, Binodini, Chandu, Debjani and Eshwari.
Never Kiss Your Best Friend: This ZEE5 series starring Nakuul Mehta and Anya Singh, is based on Sumrit Shahi’s book of the same name and told the story of two friends who should not have kissed but, as the title suggests, they do. It showed how one can get caught between friendship and love.
Baarish: This ALTBalaji series starred Asha Negi and Sharman Joshi as protagonists, and revolved around their completely opposite personalities and explored their lives. The series saw 2 seasons and was well-accepted by the audience.
