One Digital Entertainment, one of the leading digital media companies in Asia has released a short film on domestic violence, Sunkissed – Babyface on their recently acquired content platforms Blush. The short film directed by Dixshant Gaurav Kala depicts the love journey of a young couple who falls in love, gets married and how it falls apart with all the toxicity & domestic violence.
This story is about a girl next door, who builds all whims & fancies around her marriage and continues to be a victim ofdomestic violence without voicing it. How she succumbs to the situation and continues to suffer in her marriage. The film takes a visually poetic tone to explore emotions with purity and subtlety. It gradually expands to show the dilemma of love and relationship create and how it affects our ability to choose what is right for us.
“Unfortunately domestic violence has been part of the society for a long time. With the onset of this pandemic, the mental, physical & sexual abuse cases have increased many fold. In most of the cases victims usually refrain from voicing it out & consider it normal chore and develop the mindset that it would change with time. Its time to realise that this conditioning needs to be eradicated from the society. The only rescue is to speak up & break the chain without thinking of societal repercussions. Through this short film, we want to convey to all the victims to stand up & fight this for yourself. We are glad to launch this short film brilliantly directed by Dixshant on our recently acquired content platforms Blush”, says Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Co-Founder, One Digital Entertainment.
