A while ago, it came across as a major shock when it was confirmed that two YouTube channels belonging to Ranveer Allahbadia aka BeerBiceps were hacked.

Both his YouTube channels were hacked and renamed “Tesla” by the attackers.

The hackers renamed the BeerBiceps channel to “@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024” and his personal channel to “@Tesla.event.trump_2024.” In addition to the name changes, all interviews and podcasts on both channels were deleted. The attackers replaced the original content with older streams featuring events involving Elon Musk and Donald Trump.

But this isn’t the first time when a popular YouTube channel has been hacked. Over the years, there have been multiple such cyberattacks. Here’s listing a few of them-

Tanmay Bhat, Aishwarya Mohanraj and Abdu Rozik

Bhat’s channel that amassed 4.4 million subscribers was hacked and renamed ‘Tesla Corp’.

Comedian Aishwarya Mohanraj also tweeted that her Gmail account has been compromised and she has lost access to her YouTube account. Mohanraj also sought help from YouTube.

Rozik, a Tajikstani celebrity who has a huge fan base in India and his channel amassed over a million subscribers also had his channel hacked. All these channels were later restored.

CarryMinati

Another huge shocker came in a few years ago when CarryMinati’s YouTube account was also hacked, as hackers broke into the channel and asked for bitcoin donations from subscribers. His live was also restored later. CarryMinati has one of the largest subscriber base in India with over 45 million subscribers.
