He has always had a special passion and zeal towards India and its culture and no wonder, his readership has always had a humongous fan following all over the country. There’s a really sad update coming in from his end.
As per the latest media reports in NDTV, French author Dominique Lapierre who’s best known for some special novels, including the amazing ‘City Of Joy’ has passed away. He was reportedly 91 when he breathed his last. His books have had the milestone of sales in millions and we love it. His wife issued a statement saying,
“At 91, he died of old age.” The non-fiction book published in 1965 chronicled the events leading up to August 1944, when Nazi Germany surrendered control of the French capital, and was adapted for the silver screen by Francis Ford Coppola and Gore Vidal.
