IWMBuzz.com has been updating audiences about Karan Johar’s digital content division Dharmatic Entertainment’s new series on Netflix named ‘The Actress’.
We had earlier reported about Shubhangi Latkar being roped in for the project.
Now, we have exclusive information that Theater actor Sheena Chohan will be part of the above-mentioned series and essay pivotal role.
Sheena has worked in 7 films, 3 with national award-winning directors. She made her debut in the south with Mammooty, did 2 films as a lead with national award winner Buddhadev Dasgupta and had a film on Netflix last year as a lead by Mostofa Farooki. She shot a film in Hollywood and got back to Mumbai just before lockdown.
As per reports in media, the series would be a suspenseful family drama; telling the story of a global superstar whose world changes once she migrates to another country where nobody knows her.
Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit Nene will mark her OTT debut with The Actress. Her Raja co-star Sanjay Kapoor will be paired opposite her.
We buzzed Sheena, Karan Johar and the spokesperson at Netflix but did not get revert.
