Shruti Seth bags Amazon Prime's The Forgotten Army

Amazon Prime’s eight-part mini-series The Forgotten Army has gone on-floor. Filmmaker Kabir Khan will debut in the OTT digital video service space with the upcoming series.

The director, who has many super-hit and critically acclaimed films such as New York, Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, has commenced shooting for the web series on December 17 in Mumbai.

Based on true events, this series will be based on freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army, a force that sought to gain India freedom from the British during the World War II.

We hear TV and Bollywood’s popular face Shruti Seth, who was part of Shararat, TV, Biwi aur Main, Rajneeti and Fanaa, has been roped in for the series. She will be playing one of the important roles in the army. The actress has also started shooting for the series.

When contacted, Shruti confirmed the development but refused to divulge any info on the same.
