Smiriti Kalra's short film creates the right buzz in 72 International film fests

Talented actress Smiriti Kalra who is currently seen playing the role of ravishing Ahana in Dil Sambhal Ja Zaara is part of an award winning short film titled Cup Of Tea which conveys a very powerful message on power of education.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker and theatre personality, Jitendra Rai of Matheno Films, ‘Cup of Tea’ is the official selection and nomination in over 72 international film festivals and has already won 9 awards.

The film has garnered around 4 million views within three days on various media platforms. The film was recently launched during Children’s Day.

When asked about the short film Smiriti says,”This was shot last year, when I heard the narration, I fell in love with the script and also it was for a good cause, so I agreed to do it immediately. I had a wonderful time while filming. My role demanded a lot of physical activity like running around and I thoroughly enjoyed that because I am a runner. I am happy the film is getting a lot of warmth on social networking forum and also been to so many film festivals.”

So how important was education for you in your student life? “It was very important. I was a very sincere student and always gave a lot of importance to my studies. I believe education gives you the strong base of your personality and it teaches you the right attitude in your life.”
