Sukhmani Sadana in ZEE5's Parchayee - Ghost stories by Ruskin Bond

Sukhmani Sadana will be part of the ongoing and much talked about web series already on air, that has had popular Bollywood actors like Kay Kay Menon, Sumeet Vyas, Gauahar Khan, Sarah-Jane Dias, Raima Sen, Farida Jalal, Kunal Kapoor, Dalip Tahil, Shakti Kapoor and many more.

Sukhmani is currently shooting in Mussoorie for the ZEE5’s web series Parchayee, adapted from the short ghost stories by the celebrated author Ruskin Bond. With episodic stories, it had Bollywood’s talented pool Kay Kay Menon, Farida Jalal, Raima Sen, Gauahar Khan, Sarah Jane Dias, Shakti Kapoor, Dalip Tahil and Sumeet Vyas acting in it. Now, Sukhmani will be part of one of the episodes, which is the last episode of the series, that revolves around two sisters living in a secluded bungalow in the jungle of Mussoorie in the 19th century. The first few episodes of the series have been directed by Pink filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.

What’s more, Sukhmani will share screen space with Bollywood actor Jay Bhanushali in the episode. She says, “I play one of the two sisters. The other sister’s role is being played by Ira Dubey. the sisters have a couple visiting them in their jungle house, and then the mystery and thrill start then. I am very happy that I am shooting in Mussoorie because I studied in Dehradun and Mussorie was a regular getaway, it was interesting visiting all the cafes and eateries in the hill station.”

Since the actress is also a writer and has written previously horror films she adds, “I love writing and am a big fan of Ruskin Bond’s books. This series is an adaptation of his short ghost stories and I feel proud that I am acting in one of them.” My director and dop are extremely talented people and I’m lucky to work with them.
