The SC ban on downloading of the TikTok app has created a lot of buzz among the Twitterati. Adding her bit to the online chatter was Kubbra Sait, who described the spate of TikTok videos as a “state of derangement”. Well-known TV and digital personality, Vikas Gupta, replied to her tweet, standing up for all TikTok content creators. IWMBuzz had reported about this exchange this morning. All too quickly, this exchange has escalated into a full-blown Twitter war of words between the two. In her latest Twitter salvo, Ms Sait says rather derogatorily about Vikas Gupta, “I just googled the gent. No fire there, just a few Tik Tok videos”.

Kubbra Sait says there’s nothing much to Vikas Gupta than a few TikTok videos. Hmmm, so how true is her statement? Well, here are a few well-known things about Vikas Gupta’s commendable career, that Kubbra and all our readers must be enlightened on –
Vikas Gupta became the youngest programming head for MTV India. By doing so, he also qualified as the youngest programming head for the channel anywhere in the world.
He is also the youngest creative head in the TV industry. At the tender age of 19, Vikas Gupta became creative head at Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, working on shows like Mahabharat, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil.
Vikas Gupta is the founder of Lost Boy Productions, one of the most successful production houses currently. His production company has created hugely successful youth-centric shows such as Gumrah: End of Innocence, Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, V The Serial, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and MTV Webbed. He has in fact produced close to ten shows in the last 5 years, all wildly successful.
He is also the creator of Ace of Space, last year’s number 1 and hugely popular reality show. He was also the Host and the face of the show.
Vikas Gupta has been a popular participant on reality shows such as Bigg Boss 11 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 9. He was the second runner up in Bigg Boss 11, winning the title of MasterMind.
Vikas started year 2019 on a high, with his hugely successful show, Puncch Beat, streaming on Alt Balaji. The show is Alt Balaji’s most successful show this year.
He has been the programming head of &TV, where he worked extensively on the channel’s flagship show, Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain.
He has won various awards on well-known awards platforms, for his go-getting personality. A few of those are TV Personality of the Year, Most Enterprising Personality Of The Year, Break Through Artist Of The Year and Style Icon Host.
