Netflix India will have a fascinating year ahead with the renowned OTT platform announcing 41 Indian titles recently. The streaming giant has roped in big Bollywood celebrities from Sonakshi Sinha to Taapsee Pannu to Kartik Aaryan. In addition to the 41 titles announced, Netflix is also working on many more concepts of which Chuna is one.
Tentatively titled Chuna, a tale set in Uttar Pradesh, revolving around state politics is already on floor. The series is produced by Flying Saucer and directed by Pushpendra Nath Misra. Flying Saucer had earlier produced Taj Mahal 1989 for Netflix.
As per reports, Jimmy Sheirgill plays the central role in Chuna. Also there are reports of actors Aashim Gulati and Gyanendra Tripathi being part of the series.
News coming to us at IWMBuzz.com is that popular actor Vikram Kochhar has bagged Chuna and is presently shooting for it.
As per a reliable source, “Vikram Kochhar will play an interesting role in Chuna.”
Vikram is also presently shooting for the MX Player series Raktanchal 2.
We buzzed Vikram but did not get through to him.
We also reached out to the spokesperson at Netflix and Producer and Director Pushpendra, but did not get revert.
