In South Kolkata, filming for the Hindi version of Raj Chakraborty’s highly regarded Bengali film “Parineeta” has finally started. The story, writing, and casting of the director’s first Hindi film are all expected to be drastically altered.
The series stars Aaditi Pohankar, who is renowned for her outstanding performances. Talented Bengali actresses Ananya Sen and Laboni Sarkar accompany her, adding a distinct flavor to the story. The show’s high point is anticipated to be the trio’s chemistry.
Laboni Sarkar, who portrays Mehul’s mother, was seen sporting a gorgeous black Ganga-Yamuna Paar saree on set. Her forehead, studded with vermilion, and her open hair convey a sorrowful look. It is expected that her character’s plot will play a crucial role in the series.
Ananya Sen, who portrays one of Mehul’s girlfriends, infuses the program with youthful vitality. Her character’s interactions with Mehul and the other main characters will make plot twists interesting.
The first shooting day was at an ancient house close to Deshapriya Park, a well-known spot for people living in South Kolkata. Raj Chakraborty gave his main actresses exacting direction, ensuring every moment was captured flawlessly.
The shooting schedule, spanning three days in South Kolkata, will be followed by sessions in Howrah Bridge, North Kolkata, and Darjeeling. The ensemble cast, including Shankar Chakraborty, Roshni Bhattacharya, Sumit Vyas, and Priyanshu Painyuli, will join the production in subsequent phases.
Raj’s meticulous approach was evident as he reviewed the monitor, issued instructions, and oversaw the setup. The director’s attention to detail promises a high-quality production.
The story, written by a Marathi author, differs from the Bengali original that focused on Ritwik Chakraborty and Subhashree Ganguly. With Mehul pursuing revenge for Babaida’s death, the Hindi version continues where the Bengali film left off.
With ‘Parineeta,’ Raj Chakraborty is set to leave his stamp on Hindi television by fusing his distinctive storytelling with new ideas. Viewers can anticipate a fascinating story bolstered by the director’s skillful touch and the performances of the gifted ensemble as the series progresses.
The Hindi series has a great cast, with Parmita Ghosh of LSD2 fame editing the film and Gairik Sarkar handling the cinematography. As filming continues, anticipation for Parineeta’s eventual release, which promises an exciting cinematic experience, grows.
