Jio Studios, the media and content arm of RIL, is making a powerful impact at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), presenting a compelling lineup of films that spans diverse genres. From intense dramas and thrilling mysteries to thought-provoking social dramas, the studio is all set to captivate the festival audience with something for every type of movie fan.
The studio is presenting a range of much-anticipated premieres such as Saali Mohabbat, a gripping “howdunit” thriller marking the production debut of celebrated fashion stylist-turned-producer Manish Malhotra and starring the brilliant Radhika Apte and Divyenndu; Mrs., an emotionally charged drama featuring standout performances by Sanya Malhotra, that has earned standing ovations at international festivals and will have its Asia premiere at IFFI; and Hisaab Barabar, a satirical social drama starring R. Madhavan, that blends humor and intense emotion to tackle the issue of financial fraud, following a common man’s fight to expose a corporate bank’s billion-dollar scam.
Further solidifying its presence, Jio Studios’ Article 370 has been selected for the prestigious Indian Panorama section at IFFI 2024, joining an elite list of 25 films chosen from 384 entries.
These films reflect Jio Studios’ commitment to producing a broad spectrum of content that resonates with both critical and commercial audiences. In a year of unprecedented achievements—including Article 370, India’s official entry to the Oscars with Laapataa Ladies, the record-breaking success of Stree 2, supernatural sensation Shaitaan, and the recently released blockbuster Singham Again, the studio’s impressive line-up underscores its growing influence in the entertainment industry.
